The title occured to me trying to make some connection between the lamp and ancient cultures. It was then I remembered the old legends about Whitelighters (yeah, also present in the popular TV series 'Charmed') and their benefic role in many cultures as spirits sent by the Gods to protect some special people or even, in some miths, everyone, enthrusted with magical powers and even healing ones.
And since the title goes very well with the light nature of this object and with the snow dressing it.. why not? Plus I bet it looks even better on a dark winter night, with blizzard, and suddenly seing a light and knowing that in a few minutes you will rest your weary bones in front of a warm fire, with a glass of boiling wine with cinammon or maybe some hot chocolate... *daydreaming*

Shot in Predeal, for those of you who know. And about the photo: contrast/ brightness enhanced quite a lot in PS. The weather was all foggy and supraexposing the photo looked like crap. So instead I left the exposure at 0 level and decided to modify it later on the computer. I'd say it looks much better than the original. [link]
